Working out which study techniques are the most effective for your learning is a key aspect of effective revision. Here are our favourites!

The Pomodoro Technique
The Pomodoro Technique, created by Francesco Cirillo, is a useful time-management technique which improves concentration and focus.
It works as follows: Do 25 minutes of work. Take a 5 minute break. Repeat this 4 times. Take a longer break.
Blurting
Grab a paper and some pens and write down everything you know about a topic or subject.
Once you’re finished grab your revision materials and see if you have missed anything - focus your revision on these areas.
Post-it Notes
Write all the key facts, figures, equations, definitions or quotes that you need to know on post-it notes. Stick them in places you will regularly see them - doors, mirrors, windows, walls - it’s up to you!
